Bunga Bunga closed its doors earlier this year and has now returned with a complete transformation.
The bar’s new name is Bunga 90 and it’s a multi-sensory celebration of the 1990s. Think of retro cocktails, arcade games, a PEPSI Time Machine, bathroom rave, Jurassic Park pinball and old school cult ads being played on CRT TVs.

Bunga 90 – The Interior
Photo: Urban Adventurer
Your 1990s experience with Bunga 90 starts right on your arrival. The façade of the venue looks exactly like an old-school video rental shop from the 90s stocked with VHS tapes, SEGA Megadrives, and old movie trailers being played on the loop.
Photo: Urban Adventurer
Once you’ve taken your selfies here, a PEPSI Time Machine will teleport you back in time right in the glorious neon-soaked 1990s.
Photo: Urban Adventurer
Step in and get whisked into an Anglo-American teen’s bedroom. Wall plastered with boy bands posters, fairy lights, dial-up tones and physical photographs.
Photo: Urban Adventurer
From here, you’ll reach the actual bar area with pinball machines, free-to-play arcade games, karaoke stage (you can let your inner Ginger Spice out in front of a potential crowd of 300 people!) and retro vibes.
If you’d rather grab the mic and sing your heart out with your bestie, book a private karaoke room (bookings for up to 10 people).

Make sure you visit the bathroom because a mini rave is held in every hour with UV lights, smoke and light sticks!

Photo: Urban Adventurer
Bunga 90’s drinks menu is full of nostalgic cocktails.
Think 90s classic ‘Lip Smackers’, such as Watermelon Margarita, Appeltini or Woo Woo.
Sip your drink from an extravagant 90s icon vessel, including Britney Spears, Home Alone Kevin or a Nokia 3310.

Jennie visited Woo Jung on the 2nd July 2023 after the BLACPINK concert at BST Hyde Park.
Jennie and her company enjoyed a number of delicious dishes, including Kimchi Jjigae, Seafood Kalguksu and Beef Hot Pot.
If you’d like to eat your way through all the dishes Jennie ordered, the restaurant created a special ‘Jennie’s Pick’ menu that features everything she ordered with photos of the dishes.

Once you’ve ordered your dishes, framed photos of the BLACKPINK and Jennie’s signature provide the perfect backdrop for your Insta snaps.

We ordered the Soondubu Jjigae which is a spicy soup with tofu and seafood, served with rice. It was rich in flavour, and we absolutely loved it. It wasn’t too spicy, so even if you’re not a huge fan of spicy food, you can eat this without any problem.
Our second order was a simple one. We ordered the vegetable Gun Mandu which is basically stir fried dumplings (you can choose from chicken, beef and veggie). It was crispy and delicious. Highly recommend this one if you’re not familiar with Korean food and want to go for a safer option.
Make sure you check back to Woo Jung after the BLACKPINK concert in August. Who knows, you might be lucky enough to meet Jennie or other members of the girl group.

Maquette of the Hall of Faces
Photo: Urban Adventurer
You can see never-before-seen early sketches, maquettes, and designs. Every set, prop, sigil, wall flag and furniture you see in the series had to be designed, prototyped and created by the talented team of artists and designers of Game of Thrones.
Photo: Urban Adventurer
All intricate details of the costumes were meticulously designed by artists led by award-winning costume designer Michele Clapton. Think of the militaristic style of Cersei’s coronation gown, or Daenerys Targaryen’s dramatic white fur coat.
Follow the development of designs from the earliest sketches to the final cut.
Special & Visual Effects
Photo: Urban Adventurer
The magic of Game of Thrones could have never happened without the Special Effect and Visual Effect team.
Deanerys’ dragons: Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion and other breath-taking scenes, such as the Wall were created with cutting edge technology. Many of those scenes were filmed in front of a green screen before the special effect and visual effect team brought them to life.
It means, the actors and actresses had to rely on their imagination. All they had were a few reference marks on the walls and the ground to help them navigate as they were acting.
Prosthetics & Makeup
Photo: Urban Adventurer
The prosthetic and makeup department spent tremendous amount of time to create other-worldly masks based of the actors’ faces.
First, they had to make a silicon mould of the actors’ faces, then they started building the incredibly lifelike masks and prosthetics to transform the actors into mythical creatures.
Watch the painstakingly long and intricate process of creating masks. Many of the actors and actresses had to sit on the makeup chair for long hours waiting for their masks and makeup to be applied and get ready for filming.
Props & Weapons

Game of Thrones Filming Locations in Northern Island
Photo: Urban Adventurer
Follow the footsteps of the Game of Thrones’ cast and visit the very places they filmed iconic scenes outside the studio.
Belfast is just a short drive from many of the filming locations, including the cave where Melisandre gave birth to her ‘shadow baby’ who later assassinated Renly Baratheon, the edge of the Antrim plateau where Deanerys was rescued by her dragon or the real life Winterfell.
While you’re on your journey visiting Game of Thrones filming locations around Northern Ireland, make sure you make sure you visit these ten pubs to explore ten stunning carved GOT-themed wooden doors.
Photo: Urban Adventurer
Ask for your ‘Journey of Doors’ passport and get a stamp at each location.
Each door is intricately carved in wood and tells a story of an episode from GOT Season 6.
Photo: Urban Adventurer
For example, Door 1 portrays the show’s opening title and the map of Westeros, while Door 10 – which is in Belfast at The Dark Horse Pub – depicts Westeros’ state of affairs as Season 6 comes to its end. You’ll find Stark and Targaryen sigils at bottom of the door and Lannister’s lion in the middle right under the Great Sept of Baelor, signifying the death of hundreds of King’s Landing nobles.
Don’t forget to get your ‘Journey of Doors’ passport stamped at each pub, so you have a unique souvenir of your journey.
