𝙋𝙤𝙥-𝙐𝙥 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙥 Visit the pop-up shop on the ground floor for extremely limited-edition merch. To celebrate the release of their new album, ‘The Mountain’ iconic punk rock band, GORILLAZ, has transformed the basement of luxury clothing shop, Flannels into a GORILLAZ universe.

Once you’ve arrived Flannels’ Oxford Street store, head to the basement (the stairs are on the right-hand side from the entrance) where you’ll find a large-scale, high-end digital display playing stunning audio-visuals and Jamie Hewlett’s hand-drawn world on a monumental scale.

The experience is completely free, and you can stay as long as you wish.

Make sure you also visit the pop-up shop on the ground floor. There are extremely limited-edition T-shirts, caps and tote bags available, and – of course – the new album.

US based artist, Ken Kelleher is famous for his monumental abstract sculptures and digital artworks. He takes the utilitarian use away from everyday objects to create something completely new by altering, re-shaping and merging them.

The artist’s goal is to create something that didn’t exist before…something that makes viewers stop and think. Kelleher’s artworks are open to interpretation which means one may see them as whimsical and playful, while others strange or surprising.

Kelleher seamlessly blends form and purpose, simplicity and intricacy to create something completely new that make people stop and wonder.

Canadian digital artist, FVCKRENDER takes over W1 Curates to debut his first solo immersive and meditative audio-visual experience: ‘Catch the Light’. The show documents the artist’s healing journey from depression and anxiety.

Having suffered from severe anxiety, ongoing depression, and panic attacks, FVCKRENDER turned to digital canvas and taught himself to use 3D art software to support his self-understand and healing process through creating stunning hyper-realistic imagery.

FVCKRENDER’s artworks are a documentation of his healing process, and now living his life completely free of depression and anxiety, he wants to be a beacon of hope and an inspiration to others to find their own path of healing and mental comfort.

The artist creates futuristic, hyper-realistic 3D imageries that are carefully choregraphed against meditative soundtracks to make a tranquil environment good for mental health and wellbeing.

The Canadian artist has created 3,000 artworks on a daily basis over the past 8 years, positioning himself as one of the most prolific artists in the world.

As a result, he had a number of high-profile collaborations, including Dior and Swarovski.

FVCKRENDER’s selected artworks are displayed on W1 Curates’ gallery space in the basement at FLANNELS in Oxford Street as well as on LED screens of the outside walls of the building.

The experience is free to visit between 3 – 31 August 2023 at W1 Curates.

Artist 0010×0010 blends the real and digital worlds to create a completely new experience, where he abandons the known world to embrace the infinite possibilities of the digital realm and creates a new style: ‘Intelligent Artifacts’.

The artist took his name from binary code, 0010×0010, which means ‘2/2, his birthday’.

He mesmerised sound, motion, and sight, created a kaleidoscopic phantasmagoria to leap off the boundaries of reality and reach a dreamlike world to seek wisdom beyond rational thoughts.

INTELLIGENT ARTIFACTS 02.02 BETA is a mix of video sequences of alien-like humans with bold makeup and fashion style blended with immersive sound effects and unexpected glitches.

The artwork is a beta version and the glitches become part of the installation as they appear when pushing the boundaries of technology, adding to the meaning of the artwork.

The installation expresses how information and image overload the human brain and how AI can help processing and understanding all that overstimulating information.

Statue Houses and Dystopian Environments

Svccy represents humans by statues either faceless or covered by objects to symbolise the total lack of identity in today’s world. Man lives in an inauthentic environment and follows inauthentic behavioral models oppressed by mass media, technology, and fashion.

Traditional architectural elements are blended with futuristic visions to create a dreamlike environment. Futuristic houses emerge from the ground in vibrant colours, while giant classic statues appear next to them to make a surreal contrast, representing the illusion of free and self-determined life.

We believe we are living a free life and make free choices, while in reality we are all following a single model which is built for us by our ultra-consumerist society.

Dystopian Environments

Dystopian Environments showcase today’s human society as series of faceless statues or covered by everyday objects, such as mobile phone to symbolise lack of identity. The statues often depicted in a ruined environment wearing game consoles covering the eyes and ears. This represents how members of society try to escape from reality to the digital world – an illusion – where everything seems better.
