The new store is called K-Pop Playground and located just a 2-minute walk from Piccadilly Circus.

K-Pop Playground is more than just a shop selling merchandise and K-beauty products. They create unforgettable memories by hosting regular events, such as lucky draws, photo card trading events, fun meetups and much more.

Within the store there is a cute Korean photobooth by Life4Cuts to take fun pictures with your friends (it’s great fun even you’re on a solo date!), and Korean karaoke boots by K Sing.

Life4Cuts is famous for their collaborations with K-pop groups, films and beloved characters, such as Bellygom, Dark Moon or Couplelyz.

They launched their Squid Game collab frames on the 27^th December 2024 and they will remain available until 30^th June 2025.

13 different Squid Game frames are available and the collab is running at 1,000 stores worldwide.

The collab frames include Young-hee, the pink soldiers, the maze stairs, Dalgona, Squid Game players and more.

Squid Game related accessories are available to use for free at the shop. When we visited their Westfield Shopping centre branch, they even had a Young-hee costume with mask.

South Korea’s most popular photo booth experience arrived in London just a couple of years ago, and by the end of 2024, they opened their 14^th store in the UK.

Currently they have 4 stores in London: Soho, Liverpool Street, Westfield Shopping Centre (White City), and New Malden.

How to Use Life4Cuts Photo Booth

If you haven’t been to Korean photo booth before or never tried photo booth at all, don’t worry. Here’s a quick guide on how to use it.

Life4Cuts is a self service photo booth with tons of fun accessories you can use for free. All you need to do is walk in and choose any accessory from the shelves. They have funglasses, hats, and many more.

Walk into one of the available booths and simply follow the instructions on the screen. The screen will tell you step by step what to do, but if you need help, a friendly member of staff is always at hand.

First, you have to choose the theme you wish to use.

Each theme includes a number of different frames. For example, the Squid Game theme has frames with Young-hee (the red light, green light doll), the pink soldiers, the maze and so on. Choose the one you like and tap on it.

Now you select how many copies you need.

The machine will print two copies by default, so both you and your friend can have one. But if you’re with a larger company, you can get as many copies as the number of people you are with.

After selecting the number of copies, you pay with your phone or touch card.

Now, you’re ready to capture your moments. If you select the automatic version, the machine will automatically take photos in every 10 seconds. If you select, manual version, you can take you photos by using a remote control.

You can retake any photo until you’re happy with the result and you can choose which photo should go to which frame.

Now, you have the opportunity to choose from a number of filters, such as golden, black and white, cool white or just go with the original.

That’s it! Now allow the machine a minute to print your photos.

Don’t forget to scan the QR code printed on the right bottom corner, so you can download a digital version of your photo, plus a short video of you taking the photos and having fun. All for free.

You have two days to download before it’s automatically deleted.

South Korea is obsessed with the new trend of taking four-cut photos that are meant to tell a mini story in a creative way. Couples and even K-pop idols jumping on this trend and now you can create your own mini story with your friends or significant other here in London at three different locations (Soho, Leicester Square and Shoreditch).

So, how does it work?

The best part is, you don’t have to book a session, simply walk in, and enjoy your time.

Upon your arrival, you are greeted by a host who will guide you through the process and show you how to use the photobooth (it’s very simple).

You’ll find tons of fun accessories on the shelves from funny glasses, to hats to headbands you can use for completely free.

Make Sure You Have Some Poses in Mind

Make sure you have the poses you want to use in mind because once you’re in the photo booth, you’ll have 10sec to pose for each photo. You can get tons of inspiration from the photo board displayed on the walls and the windows.

Now, wait for a booth to become free and when you’re in, simply follow the steps on the touchscreen, make a payment, and select the type and the colour of your photos.

Now all set up, let’s start the fun part. You’ll going to get four photos, but you only have 10sec to change accessories and pose for each. Don’t be shy, be creative!

Once you’ve finished, choose your frame, and get your photos printed.

Since these photo booths are usually used by couples or friends, you’ll get two strips of photos, so both you and your partner will get one. In this way, you don’t have to do the whole process again.

If you go solo, don’t worry, it’s super fun even if you do it by yourself.
