Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon manga series was first realised in 1991, written and illustrated by Japanese manga artist, Naoko Takeuchi. The story of the adventures of a schoolgirl, Usagi Tsukino with the ability to transform into Sailor Moon and fight against evil forces with fellow guardians became quickly popular.
Sailor Moon has become a global phenomenon and the manga series has been translated into 17 different languages and adopted into animated series and even live-action movies.
Sailor Moon has become synonymous with girl power and feminism and one of the most influential anime series of all times.

Jimmy Choo x Sailor Moon Takes Over Selfridges

London’s luxury department store, Selfridges is taken over by Jimmy Choo x Sailor Moon from this Valentine’s Day until 12th March 2023.
The pop-up store is on the ground floor atrium within the accessories hall. The store showcases a capsule range of footwear and accessories themed around Sailor Guardians’ characters.

Each Sailor Guardian has an identifiable colour defining their unique characteristics: pink for Sailor Moon, blue for Sailor Mercury, red for Sailor Mars, green for Sailor Jupiter and orange for Sailor Venus.

The highlight of the collection is a pair of limited-edition pink boots with 10-centimetre-tall heel, decorated with 19,000 Swarovski crystals. The boots were exclusively on display at Tokyo’s Mori Art Museum in Roppongi.
The cutest life-sized Luna cats decorating the pop-up, providing cute photo opportunities within the store.
