The UK’s largest ever Viking experience is now open with larger than life installations, promising an unforgettable family friendly adventure. Forest of Time

Wander among life-sized trees in the mossy Forest of Time, step through a misty portal, discover interactive displays, listen to the call of the horn and talk to a mysterious head portrait that will answer your questions.
VR Experience Under Yggdrasil (World Tree)

Photo: Urban Adventurer
Stand underneath the Yggdrasil or ‘World Tree’ that connects the nine realms, including the earth, the underworld and the heavens.
The tree is the geological centre of the Norse spiritual cosmos. The rest of the cosmos, including the Nine Worlds, is arrayed around it and held together by the branches of the tree. The tree also connects the earth, the underworld and the heavens. Therefore, the well-being of the cosmos depends on the well-being of Yggdrasil.
Sit beneath Yggdrasil, don your VR headset and travel back in time to the 9th century Scandinavia to learn more about the saga of Aslaug. Witness the peasant girl becoming a powerful Queen, be there when she first met her future husband, Ragnar Lodbrok, and see her mystical power unfold and learn how she became a warrior and a prophet.
Junior VR experience is also available for young adventurers who are keen to learn more about Vikings but without the scary parts.
Mists of Time

All while sitting in a life-size Viking longship!

Your exhibition journey ends at the Mead Hall café. There is a huge fire place in the middle, surrounded with (faux)fur-covered benches and walls decorated with shields.

There is also an activity corner for kids.
Shop souvenirs and books in the Viking shop before your leave. There are plenty of beautiful products to choose from. Buy a gift for a Viking enthusiast loved one for a special occasion or just because or surprise yourself with a cool Tee, a nice book or some accessories.
Vikings: The Immersive Experience tells the fascinating history of Norsemen and women, focusing on King Ragnar Lodbrok and his wife the wise and prophet, Queen Kraka (Aslaug) and their four sons who conquered the world.
