Hidden within an industrial estate, God’s Own Junkyard is probably the best-kept secret in London. The neon paradise locates in Walthamstow, 15-minute walk from Walthamstow Central station.

What is God’s Own Junkyard?

God’s Own Junkyard is a neon sign collection design and manufacturer in the heart of Walthamstow. Their neon sign collection consists of hundreds of neon signs from all over the world.

As a result of 40 years (!) of tireless collecting, renewing old and manufacturing custom signs, the collection is large and unique enough to raise film makers’, pop stars and leading magazines’ attention.

Spot God’s Own Junkyard Neon Signs in the Most Famous Movies

Neon signs from God’s Own Junkyard have appeared in such films like Avengers, Tim Burton’s Batman, Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut, The Dark Knight and Judge Dredd.

Remember the big ‘X’ sign in X-Factor? That was God’s Own Junkyard.

The unique collection has inspired fashion brands and magazines such as Vogue Magazine and Rimmel.

Some custom-made signs are even hanging on Lady Gaga’s wall.

X-Factor Sign at God’s Own Junkyard

Although, God’s Own Junkyard is a relatively small place, you can spend hours strolling around, taking selfies exploring signs from Hollywood blockbusters.

 The Rolling Scones Café

Located deep in the neon jungle, The Rolling Scones Café is a perfect place for a coffee and a slice of cake. You can either sit inside or in the rare garden. Choose a seat next to the lovely fountain or under the roof of the rustic little shed.

Can the Signs or the Venue Be Hired?

Absolutely.

Hundreds of signs are available to hire for around £100-£300 for 7 days depending on size and style. Click here to see their catalouge.

The venue can be hired for private events, birthday parties, photo shoots or filming.

Opening Hours

Feel free to pop up and visit the collection from Friday and Saturday from 11am-9pm and Sunday from 11am-6pm. The Rolling Scones Café is open all weekend.
