The exhibition guides visitors through 185 years of innovation, craftsmanship and heritage starting from the foundation of the brand in 1837 by Charles Lewis Tiffany in New York.

‘Vision & Virtuosity’ exhibition is divided into seven different themes or chapters, each of them highlighting an important moment in the brand’s life.

The first chapter is dedicated to founder Charles Lewis Tiffany and his legacy.

American socialite Mrs. E. Sheldon Whitehouse wore the yellow diamond at a benefit Tiffany Ball in 1957. Designer Jean Schlumberger re-set the diamond to a ribbon-like necklace that Audrey Hepburn wore in the romantic comedy, Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Lady Gaga wore the diamond for the Academy Awards in 2019 where she was awarded for The Best Original Song. Beyoncé Knowles was the first black woman to wear the legendary diamond in 2021 as part of Tiffany’s campaign, ‘About Love’.

The rare and biggest ever found yellow diamond was discovered in South Africa’s Kimberley Mine in 1877 and purchased by Tiffany and Co. founder Charles Lewis Tiffany the following year. The diamond was then cut to enhance its rich yellow colour.

The Yellow Tiffany Diamond is the most famous diamond in modern history.
