‘The Moonwalkers: A Journey with Tom Hanks’ invites visitors for an epic journey to our closest celestial neighbour: the Moon.
Famous Hollywood star, Tom Hanks – who played Jim Lovell in Apollo 13 movie – co-wrote ‘The Moonwalkers’ with double BAFTA-nominated writer-director, Christopher Riley and worked closely with Lightroom to bring this spectacular immersive voyage to life.

The show uses original NASA footage and breath-taking digitally remastered images to transform the vast exhibition space into lunar surface.
During the famous Apollo programmes thousands of photographs have been captured by those 12 astronauts who set foot on the Moon. These photographs, of course, were captured with medium-format cameras and came out to be lower quality.

These photographs were later collected and remastered by Andy Saunders to be released as a book, called ‘Apollo Remastered’, which soon became a bestseller.

‘The Moonwalkers’ uses some of those amazing images to create a fully immersive experience and bring the surface of the Moon to life.
The immersive show tells the incredible stories of the Apollo Missions and the astronauts who were brave enough to embark on a journey no-one ever had taken before.
The show also includes intimate interviews made by Tom Hanks with the astronauts of the Artemis programme. The astronauts talk about their motivations, dreams and hopes and what led them to join the Artemis programme.
