Last Chance to See Original Costumes and Props from The Crown Before They Go for an Auction

London auction house Bonhams is currently running a free exhibition of hundreds of costumes, furniture, and props from the award-winning Netflix series, ‘The Crown’. After touring from New York to Los Angeles to Paris, the exhibition arrived in London on 11 January and will close on 5 February before everything go for auction on 7 February.

Hundreds of Items on Display from The Crown’s All Six Seasons

Over 150 items on display from all the six seasons of The Crown series, including a replica of the royal Gold State Coach, a 4-metre-high façade of 10 Dawning Street and a replica of the Coronation ceremonial garments worn by Clare Foy as The Queen.

NOTE: The items are on display on four levels of the building. Make sure you take the elevator and go to the lower ground floor and lever 1 and 2 after visiting the ground floor exhibit.

 

All the iconic costumes, props and accessories used in the series were extensively researched and meticulously recreated with truly impressive attention to detail by master craftspeople.

Royal portraits of Claire Foy, Olivia Coleman and Imelda Staunton as The Queen, furniture from season 1 audience room in which The Queen had private meetings with prime ministers, and Princess Diana’s (portrayed by Elizabeth Debicki) “Revenge Dress” are all on display in this remarkable exhibition.

The exhibition also highlights Princess Diana’s sapphire engagement ring, worn by Emma Corrin as Lady Diana Spencer in the series.

The powder blue ball gown and fur stole worn by Clare Foy as The Queen, featured in promotional posters of The Crown is also on display along with Princess Margaret’s wedding dress worn by Vanessa Kirby in season 2.
