300ft tall Martian Fighting Machines attacked the Victorian London and you’re in the middle of it. What do you do? Try to hide? Help others? Fight back?
‘Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds: The Immersive Experience’ is London #1 immersive night out experience. It has won 12 awards, including THEA award which is the Oscar of the industry, and has won Tripadvisor’s ‘Travellers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best’ (98% of guests recommend this).

Travel back to the 1898 England and experience an incredible journey. Explore 24 interactive scenes where you can be an active participant of an imaginary Martial invasion. Witness 300-feet tall Martian Fighting Machines rumbling on London’s streets, an intense naval battle on River Themes, and take a flight to Planet Mars.
A cast of live actors and digital characters follow you on your journey and the actors are so good you really believe something dangerous is going to happen.
Once the first strikes of the Martial invasion hit, you will be escorted through narrow hallways, you will squeeze yourself into an eerie dark hole in the wall and try to escape through half open windows.
At one point you will find yourself in complete darkness and try to rely on your senses to figure out what’s going on. It’s an absolute goosebump moment when you sense a brush of fabric against your arm for a sheer moment before the real attack unfolds and you hear the spine-chilling mechanical clanks coming closer.
There are VR scenes, realistic scents, 3D immersive sound effects, heat and rumble simulations and holographic projections to make the experience feel as real as possible.
Set to Jeff Wayne’s Iconic Music
Photo: Urban Adventurer
‘Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds: The Immersive Experience’ has been all set to Jeff Wayne’s iconic music. Jeff Wayne is the composer who created the music for the musical version of The War of the Worlds, inspired by H.G. Wells’ dystopian sci-fi novel, originally published in 1898.
The composer not only remastered his iconic music for this immersive experience, but he has also overseen other aspects of the experience, including script, costumes, VR, sets, sound design, lighting and even the exclusive merchandise!
It’s a Nearly 2 Hour Experience

Please, bear in mind that unlike other immersive experiences, this one is much longer. It will take nearly over 2 hours (1hour and 50 minutes).

Filming and photographing are not allowed during the experience. However, there is a 20-minute interval to grab a cocktail among the twisted crimson vines of the ‘Red Weed Bar’ where you are more than welcome to take pictures and videos.
There are selfie opportunities at the venue’s other bar, ‘Spirit of Man’ which is a Steampunk-themed bar, serving themed theatrical cocktails, delicious food and has a huge pair of green eyes ominously glaring at the visitors.

The experience is very active involving lots of movement, so please make sure you check FAQs (scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click ‘Reveal FAQs’) for accessibility information before booking.
Don’t Worry, It’s Not Scary

Everyone asks how scary the experience is. Well, it’s a very intense and exciting journey full of action, surprises and a little jump scare here and there but it’s not a scary one at all. It’s a very enjoyable, fun experience. In fact, it’s so much enjoyable that you wish you could do it again.
There are age restrictions, however: the experience is suitable for ages of 10 and over, only.
Shop
Make sure you visit the shop after the experience because there are lots of exclusive merchandise available.
