One Piece Pop-Up at Banadai London

Every year, Bandai Namco Cross Store hosts a special one-month pop-up within the store to celebrate Monkey D. Luffy’s birthday.

This year, the pop-up opened on the 2^nd May and will be there for everyone to enjoy until the 1^st June 2025.

The pop-up is focusing on the Egghead story arc. Visitors can embark on an adventure by discovering photo corners where they can snap the perfect shot with their favourite characters.

Free Luffy headbands are available all over the shop to add to the fun, and you can leave your birthday message for Luffy on the message board till the 11^th May.

Complete The ‘Vegapunk Quest’ and receive an exclusive prize at the counter.

Anyone purchasing One Piece items will receive an exclusive Egghead Island sticker, or a sticker sheet featuring the Straw Hat Crew in their Egghead outfits with purchases over £20.

The luckiest One Piece fans even had the opportunity to meet Luffy in-store and receive a limited-edition birthday card and a cupcake with every purchase (that was a one-day event taken place on the 5^th May).

If you play One Piece card game, don’t miss on the official One Piece Card Game Sealed Battles in-store during the pop-up. The first occasion was OP07 focusing on the Vegapunk-inspired set and occurred on the first weekend following Luffy’s birthday. The second battle will be held on the 25^th May (Sunday).

No. 1 Japanese video game publisher and leader in the global entertainment industry, Bandai Namco opened their first official cross store in Europe.

The store is set to be very interactive where customers can “see, touch and experience” characters, products, and events.

The grand opening was on 18^th August 2023 in Camden Market. The store features six official shops, offering collectables, exclusive merch, card games and more under one roof. Four of the shops are the first in the UK.

Here is the list of the shops and what they sell:

Gashapon Official Shop

This is the one that probably doesn’t need to be introduced.

Gashapon offers miniature capsule collectables and vending machines. Simply insert token in the machine, make a wish and turn the handle for a surprise collectable. Endless themes, designs, and characters available to choose from: anime characters, kawaii items, animals and extremely limited-edition toys.

Ichibankuji Official Shop (first in the UK)

Inchibankuji means ‘Number One Japanese Prize’. It’s basically a peel-to-reveal mystery game where you purchase a ticket and peel it to reveal what you have won. Match the number on your ticket to the poster to see your prize.

You can win special prize if you purchase the last ticket!

Banpresto is a brand from BANDAI SPIRITS CO., LTD, offering the widest range of figurines, plushies (including super big plush), and statues from the most popular anime series and characters, such as Demon Slayer, Dragon Ball, Pokémon, My Hero Academia, or Kirby, just to name a few.

There are new releases every month. They also have special versions and older statues.

Banpresto statues require minimal or no assembly, so you can enjoy your statue straight away after unboxing.

MegaHouse Offical Store (first in the UK)

One of their most famous products is the iconic ‘Metacil’ which is a metal pencil that can be used for a long time without sharpening.
