The UK’s Largest Immersive Art Experience is Coming to London This October – We Visited Its Bristol Venue to See What to Expect
Located in Bristol, Wake the Tiger is the UK’s largest immersive art experience. It’s the world’s first Amazement Park and they’re opening an even bigger venue in London mid-October.

Step into a parallel universe where nothing is as it seems. Travel through a mysterious portal and discover a bizarre, distorted hyper-reality where every turn hides a secret and there is a fun interactive element at every corner.
Wake the Tiger is opening its second venue in Westfield London this October and we were invited to their Bristol venue to show you what to expect.

The London venue will be called Absurd City . It will be four times bigger than the Bristol venue, and it will open its doors on the 15th October 2026.
Just to compare: the Bristol venue has over 40(!) immersive rooms and the London venue will be four times bigger! Thus, this will be Europe’s largest immersive art experience, and trust me, you don’t want to miss that!

There are over 40 immersive rooms waiting to be discovered, each room is part of a mysterious story about how Meridia Luxury Homes suddenly turned into a distorted universe where strange things happen, inexplicable hidden passageways open, some weird ooze appear and glow-in-the-dark mushrooms suddenly grew everywhere.

Here’s the story:
Your journey starts at an abandoned paint factory were a group of people, called the Sub-Communities (Sub-Coms) are living. They made the factory their home after a social breakdown and a catastrophic climate change.

The Sub-Comms call this twisted reality the Dream Factory which is a beacon of hope for them. They discovered if they harmoniously balance the four different types of mushrooms growing around them, they can unlock the fifth element, which they call: Aether. Aether gives them the ability to transcend to the OUTERverse.

OUTERverse is a dimension beyond imagination but only those who can truly connect with each other can reach it.

Once you’ve validated your ticket, you’re allowed to stay as long as you wish within the opening ours.
That means, you can go around the experience as many times as you wish, stop at the café for a bite and go back to explore and have fun.

Junktion Café Bar is a whimsical on-site bar offering hot and cold food and drinks. The decoration is just as crazy as the experience itself, so you don’t have to step outside from the kaleidoscopic realm just to refuel your energy.

Feel free to visit Junktion Café Bar any time mid-adventure for a hot soup, a delicious wrap, sweet treats and a drink and then continue your adventures in the immersive rooms.

The brand new London venue is opening on the 15th October 2026 at Westfield London.
Absurd City is a wacky metropolis where strange districts and passageways lead visitors – known as ‘Daytrippers’ – to unexpected discoveries and bold thought-provoking wonders.

The experience is built with hundreds of artists, makers, and creators, and often described as a detailed film set and an art gallery from another dimension.
This is a self-guided walk-through experience suitable for all ages, filled with plenty of selfie opportunities and fun surprises.
