The Kraken’s Living Relic is not an ordinary terrarium masterclass.

It follows a dark maritime folklore, serves two Kraken Rum drinks specially crafted for the event and you will go through the full process of terrarium making under the guidance of a master terrarium maker.

All you have to bring is your high spirit and love for dark maritime tales.

Everything else is provided: the gravel, the moss, the decorative stones, the plants, all the professional equipment, and an empty Kraken Rum bottle – of course.

Here’s the story:

Legend has it that a merchant trading ship carrying barrels of spiced rum and exotic spices from the Caribbean, was ferociously attacked by a giant sea monster, the Kraken.

The ship was lost, but miraculously a few barrels survived stained black by the Kraken’s ink. When The Inferno’s crew recovered those floating barrels from the sea, they discovered something peculiar: encrusted with rare deep-sea moss and mysterious flora from the Kraken’s realm, the barrels had become vessels of life.

To celebrate that unexpected life born from darkness, The Rhum Tavern decided to honour the Kraken with one-of-a-kind Kraken Rum Terrarium Masterclasses.

Board London’s only tavern that looks like a 17th century pirate ship, walk on the creaky wooden floor, and be part of the legend!

The experience begins with an introduction and the history of the science of terrariums.

It all started with Victorian plant hunters who wanted to keep the rare mysterious plants alive they discovered during their voyages to show them and study them in their homeland.
