Hello Kitty Pop-up Café in London
Did you know that there is a Hello Kitty Café in central London, just 2-minutes walk from Tottenham Court Road Station? Well, Tombo x Sanrio Café Fitzrovia is Europe’s first Scenario café where visitors can order Japanese kawaii (Japanese word for “cute”) character themed menu.
Celebrating Hello Kitty’s 45th birthday this year Tombo x Sanrio Café launched a pop-up café on Hello Kitty’s birthday, 1st November. As the white kitty’s birthday coincides the festive period in Europe, the café’s interior design is a cute blend of winter wonderland and the kawaii Japanese cartoon character.
The Hello Kitty Menu
On the Hello Kitty character menu, you can find Hello Kitty Matcha latte, Hello Kitty doughnut, Hello Kitty dorayaki and much more. You can also order brunch from Friday to Sunday 10am to 3pm that includes Hello Kitty strawberry doughnut, Sanrio yogurt granola and berry compote and Matcha chocolate drizzled croissant with raspberry crystals, plus green tea or juice of your choice.
Hello Kitty Garden Poke is available all day every day. It includes sushi salad with courgette, black and white sushi rice, salmon sashimi or fried tofu, sesame soy, Hello Kitty vegetable and edible flowers and a miso soup.
My Experience
During my visit I ordered a Hello Kitty Matcha latte, a Hello Kitty doughnut and a Hello Kitty dorayaki. As an extra, doughnut and the dorayaki were served with two cute Hello Kitty character Matcha chocolates. I had a wonderful experience there. The design is gorgeous, the food and the drink were delicious, and the staff was super friendly, smiley and helpful.
