Once Upon a Time in Hollywood UK Premiere

Even the rain stopped when Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Margo Robbie and Quentin Tarantino stepped onto the white carpet yesterday at the UK premiere of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood at Odeon Lux Cinema, Leicester Square.

It’s not a surprise that the premiere was surrounded by hysteria; hundreds of fans would have given anything for a wristband to see the Hollywood superstars walking on the carpet.

Getting Wristbands

As usual, hard core fans spent the night before the premiere at Leicester Square and started writing a list well before midnight. When I arrived just before 12am I was the 36th on the list. By 12pm on the premiere day, more than 300 people were waiting with wristband on their wrists to be let into the viewing area.

Rain and Magic

Although, everyone was super excited, fans were worried that the bad weather might ruin the experience. It was raining all day that day, and if it rains, celebrities usually don’t give much autographs. By 6pm the white carpet had got totally soaked and got slippery. The rain poured and stopped and then poured and stopped again and again, making us constantly open and close our umbrellas.

5 minutes after 6pm, when the first guests arrived, the rain magically stopped and didn’t started again until Brad Pitt got in his car at the very end of the premiere.

Leonardo DiCaprio

Following the film’s two producers: Shannon McIntosh and David Heyman, Leonardo DiCaprio arrived. He spent a lot of a time with his fans, making sure to give autographs to everyone and make as many selfies as he could. Despite the cloudy weather he was wearing his sunglasses all the time.

Margot Robbie

Margot Robbie wasn’t that willing. After posing for the press, she gave out a few autographs and next time I saw her, she was already on the stage giving interview along with Brad and Leo, then she vanished.

Quentin Tarantino

Quentin Tarantino looked moderate and focused and collected as usual. He gave a lot of autographs and spent a lot of time with his fans. He came with his wife Daniela.

Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt was the absolute star of the show. He went back to his fans over and over again to give autographs and take selfies. He was the one to spent the most time on the white carpet. He was noticeably enjoying his time on the carpet with his fans. He was the last one who left the scene after the show. Leonardo DiCaprio, Margo Robbie and Quentin Tarantino had already been left for 25 minutes when Brad was still with his fans, making his chauffeur, assistant and all of the security guys wait. Brad’s leaving was just as epic as his arrival: he jumped on the side of his car, turned around, posed and waved to his fans once more before he left.

And the rain started again…

I was managed to get autographs from Quentin Tarantino and Leonardo DiCaprio and stole a selfie with Brad Pitt. I made a lot of wonderful videos of Brad and Leo.
