In case you’re not familiar with Anya Hindmarch: The Ice Cream Project, it’s an ice cream pop-up by famous fashion designer, Anya Hindmarch, focusing on unusual flavours typically can be found in the pantry rather than the freezer.
Think of condiments, biscuits, savoury sauces and even olives…
This year, 15 different flavours of ice cream cups are piled up in the pop-up’s silver freezers and the flavours are anything but usual. There are some ‘fairly normal’ flavours for the non-risk takers and some absolutely ‘crazy’ flavours for the more adventurous.

The quirky flavours include Filippo Berio Pesto, Branston Piccalilli, Sarson’s Vinegar and Perelló Olives, just to name a few of the savoury flavours.
There are a few others that maybe familiar to those who have visited The Ice Cream Project before. These are Heinz Baked Beans and Kikkoman Soy Sauce.
If you’re looking for more conventional, the pop-up also serves Bird’s Custard, McVitie’s Penguin, McVitie’s Jaffa Cake and Kenco Coffee.
There are a couple of sorbets on the menu, too: Tropicana Orange Juice, Robinson’s Lemon Barley Water and Maldon Sea Salt.

You can taste two flavours before purchasing. We tried Branston Piccalilli and Sarson’s Vinegar. Not gonna lie, we didn’t like them at all. MacVitie’s Jaffa Cakes and Kenco Coffee were five star, tho!

This involves trying 15 different flavours of ice cream with wafers and sprinkles and trying to guess the flavour relying on your tastebuds.
You will be given a tasting score card and a branded The Ice Cream Project pencil to record your tasting experience.
The tasting will be accompanied with shortbread and a glass of lemonade or sparkling water to cleanse your tastebuds before every new try.
